Audi 80 B4 wheels combine the clean 1990s character of the model with either a well-kept OEM-inspired appearance or a deliberately sportier look. At FelgenOutlet, you can find Audi 80 B4 alloy wheels and Audi 80 B4 complete wheels for different engines and versions – from the classic Saloon and practical Avant to performance-oriented models from the S2 and RS2 environment.

The Audi 80 B4, internally known as Type 8C, is one of the defining Audi model ranges of the early 1990s. Clean body lines, large glass areas and comparatively compact wheel-arch proportions shape its appearance. This makes wheel choice especially influential: an understated multi-spoke wheel preserves the period-correct look, while a larger diameter and more open spokes move the vehicle more clearly toward a modified youngtimer style.

On a vehicle of this age, appearance should never be the only selection criterion. Engine, braking system, suspension, axle loads and existing modifications need to be considered. Many Audi 80 B4 models have been lowered, fitted with different suspension components or otherwise modified over the years. Exact vehicle selection and the documentation for the specific wheel are therefore particularly important.

In the 3D configurator, you can compare different alloy wheels directly on the vehicle. If you choose complete wheels, suitable tires are combined with the selected wheels, mounted, balanced and prepared ready for shipping.

Audi 80 B4 Saloon and Avant: wheels to suit the youngtimer character

The Audi 80 B4 Saloon is defined by clean and straightforward proportions. Classic five-spoke, cross-spoke and multi-spoke designs suit this character particularly well. If you want to keep the car period-correct, wheel diameter and spoke design should not be considered in isolation but matched with tire sidewall, ride height and body color.

The Audi 80 Avant adds a stronger everyday and travel character. The estate was often used as a family or long-distance vehicle and is now also sought after as a well-preserved youngtimer. Comfort, load rating and a balanced relationship between wheel diameter and tire profile can therefore matter more than the largest possible wheel appearance.

S2 and RS2 versions play a special role. These models place much greater emphasis on performance and strongly influenced the image of sporty B4-based cars. Open spoke designs and larger wheels visually suit this environment particularly well, but technical approvals from an S2 or RS2 must never be transferred to a regular Audi 80 version.

• Saloon: classic proportions with OEM-inspired or subtly sporty wheel designs.
• Avant: place more emphasis on comfort, load rating and long-distance use.
• S2 environment: select sportier spoke patterns and larger wheels only for the exact vehicle.
• RS2 influence: use the performance appearance as inspiration while checking technical requirements separately.

The later A4 continued Audi's mid-size range under a new naming structure. Drivers looking at a larger classic Audi can consider the A6 above the mid-size class. Wheel approvals must not be transferred between these vehicles.

14, 15, 16 or 17 inches: wheel sizes for the Audi 80 B4

Compared with modern vehicles, relatively compact wheel diameters are typical for the Audi 80 B4. Different factory and aftermarket combinations can be relevant depending on engine, model year and specification. For many drivers, 15 and 16 inches are particularly interesting size ranges, while 17 inches are more relevant for a clearly sportier aftermarket appearance.

Smaller sizes can suit the original character of the generation very well. A taller tire sidewall creates a classic 1990s proportion and can also improve comfort on poor roads. On a largely original vehicle, a moderate wheel size is often the most coherent choice.

15-inch wheels are an interesting reference point depending on the model if you want to combine an original-style appearance, everyday usability and slightly stronger wheel presence. Classic five-spoke or multi-spoke designs preserve the typical B4 character particularly well.

16-inch alloy wheels look noticeably sportier and fill the wheel arches more strongly. This size can work particularly well on lowered or visually sportier vehicles. Tire profile, clearance and documentation should be checked carefully.

17 inches can give the Audi 80 B4 a very distinctive youngtimer tuning appearance. At the same time, they alter the original proportions more strongly and often use a lower tire sidewall. Whether such a combination is technically possible and permitted should be checked especially carefully against wheel specifications, suspension and vehicle documentation.

OEM-inspired, motorsport-style and aftermarket wheels for the Audi 80 B4

Style direction is especially important on the Audi 80 B4 because the body appearance is strongly influenced by the wheels. If you want a period-correct look, clean five-spoke, cross-spoke or classic multi-spoke designs are often excellent choices. Silver supports this character particularly well and keeps the wheel shape clearly visible.

A sportier direction often draws inspiration from the S2 and RS2 environment as well as 1990s motorsport styling. Fine spokes and a more open wheel design can make the Audi look lighter and more dynamic. On lowered vehicles especially, this creates a classic youngtimer tuning appearance that suits the angular B4 body.

In the aftermarket, BBS wheels can work particularly well with a sporty and period-inspired build. Actual suitability must still always be checked for your Audi 80 B4 using wheel dimensions, load rating, offset and the applicable documentation.

black wheels change the character much more strongly and create a more modern contrast. Silver remains the classic choice, while grey offers a more technical and subtly modern appearance. Gloss, matt, polished or machined-face surfaces can add further accents.

Audi 80 B4 complete wheels for summer, winter and all-season tires

Audi 80 B4 complete wheels are a practical solution if you want to order wheels and tires as one coordinated package. After selecting your exact vehicle, suitable tires can be combined with your preferred alloy wheels. The wheels are mounted, balanced and prepared ready for shipping.

• Summer complete wheels: for warm temperatures, dry and wet roads and precise driving feel.
• Winter complete wheels: for cold temperatures, wet roads, slush and winter conditions.
• All-season tires: for moderate mileage and predominantly mild conditions.
• Youngtimer everyday use: balance comfort, mileage, noise and available tire sizes sensibly.

On an Audi 80 B4, tire choice should match the actual use. Many cars are now driven only seasonally or as enthusiast vehicles, while others still serve as reliable everyday transport. Drivers covering longer distances regularly should place more emphasis on refinement and mileage than owners mainly using the B4 in good weather.

For the colder season, you can specifically browse winter-suitable wheels. On older vehicles in particular, a separate winter set can help protect high-quality summer wheels from road salt and winter dirt. Declared winter suitability does not replace checking vehicle approval.

All-season tires can be a practical alternative for moderate annual mileage and mild winter conditions. Drivers regularly using the Audi in snow or on longer winter journeys are often more flexible with separate summer and winter complete wheels.

ABE, technical reports and inspection requirements for Audi 80 B4 alloy wheels

Technical checking is especially important when choosing wheels for an Audi 80 B4. In addition to diameter, wheel width, offset, load rating, tire size and clearance to brakes and bodywork are decisive. Because of the age of these vehicles, suspension modifications and other changes can be an additional factor.

Depending on the wheel and wheel and tire combination, an ABE, ECE approval or technical report may be relevant. The documentation indicates which vehicles the wheel is intended for and which conditions apply. It also determines whether an additional inspection or registration may be necessary.

An ABE should not be treated as blanket approval for every Audi 80 B4 version. Engine, braking system and existing modifications can influence the applicable conditions. On lowered vehicles especially, clearance to the bodywork should be checked carefully.

The same wheel diameter does not automatically mean the same technical requirements. Two 16-inch wheels can differ significantly in width, offset and inner profile. A setup should therefore never be copied solely from photos or experience with another B4.

If a technical inspection is required, the conditions in the documentation must be followed and, where necessary, checked with an authorized inspection body. Vehicle selection at FelgenOutlet supports your product search but does not replace any individual assessment required beyond the stated approvals.

Choose Audi 80 B4 wheels according to originality, condition and budget

The right wheel choice for an Audi 80 B4 depends strongly on the character you want to preserve or create. A largely original vehicle often benefits from a period-inspired design and moderate wheel size. On a lowered or already modified B4, larger wheels and more open spokes can look much more coherent.

Vehicle condition should also influence the decision. Before buying wheels, it is worth checking the suspension, wheel bearings, braking system and existing modifications. New wheels can transform the appearance, but they should remain technically appropriate for a well-maintained and safe overall vehicle.

The price of Audi 80 B4 alloy wheels depends on factors including size, manufacturer, construction, finish and availability. On an older vehicle, the availability of suitable tire dimensions can also influence total cost. Complete wheels additionally include tire choice, season and mounting.

If you want a purchase-oriented starting point, you can browse recommended wheels and then select your exact vehicle. This allows you to create either an OEM-inspired youngtimer appearance or a sportier setup in a targeted way.

The decisive factor is not the largest possible diameter but the combination of style, technical suitability and use. A well-built Audi 80 B4 with an appropriate tire sidewall and coherent wheel design often looks more convincing than a wheel size that completely overwhelms the original proportions.

Select Audi 80 B4 wheels in the 3D configurator and order online

If you want to buy Audi 80 B4 wheels, start with your exact vehicle data. Model year, engine, body style and any technical modifications help narrow the selection sensibly. With a youngtimer especially, it is important not to assume automatically that the vehicle remains in factory condition.

In the 3D configurator, you can compare different designs directly on the vehicle. 15 inches often look especially period-correct and balanced, while 16 inches emphasize the sportier side more strongly. Larger combinations can be interesting but should be matched carefully with ride height, tire sidewall and the desired overall style.

For an original-inspired appearance, silver and classic spoke patterns are useful reference points. Drivers wanting to move the Audi more strongly toward an S2, RS2 or motorsport-inspired look can choose more open multi-spoke designs and sportier finishes, provided the exact combination is technically suitable for the vehicle.

At FelgenOutlet, you can configure and order Audi 80 B4 alloy wheels and Audi 80 B4 complete wheels online. With complete wheels, suitable summer, winter or all-season tires are combined with the wheels, mounted and balanced. This gives you wheels prepared ready for shipping for everyday use, seasonal driving or a well-kept youngtimer project.

Frequently asked questions about Audi 80 B4 wheels

Which wheel sizes are particularly interesting for the Audi 80 B4?

Depending on engine and specification, 15 and 16 inches are particularly attractive for a balanced youngtimer appearance, while 17 inches focus more strongly on a sporty aftermarket look. The size actually permitted depends on the vehicle, suspension, brakes, tires and the documentation for the specific wheel.

Which wheel designs suit the Audi 80 B4 particularly well?

Classic five-spoke, cross-spoke and multi-spoke designs in silver suit the period character especially well. For a sportier S2- or RS2-inspired appearance, more open designs and larger diameters can be interesting, provided the technical combination is approved for the vehicle.

Do Audi 80 B4 alloy wheels require an ABE or technical inspection?

This depends on the exact wheel and wheel and tire combination. ABE, ECE approval, technical reports and possible conditions determine whether an additional inspection or registration is required.

What should I consider with a lowered Audi 80 B4?

With modified suspension, clearance, wheel coverage and the conditions in both wheel and suspension documentation need to be checked together. A wheel combination that works on a standard vehicle is therefore not automatically permitted on a lowered B4 without additional checking.
