The Ford era

Henry Ford founded the Ford Motor Company in 1903 - with little initial success. With the production of the Ford Model T, also known as "Tin Lizzy", and the worldwide unique use of assembly line technology, Ford suddenly gains popularity; the vehicle becomes a bestseller. By 1927, a total of 15 million units had been produced, an unbelievable quantity for the time. It was not until 55 years later that this production figure was surpassed.

In 2012, the 350 millionth vehicle of the successful brand leaves the factory. It is a Ford Focus, which, along with the Ford Fiesta, is one of the most successful and best-selling models in Europe.
